Bats hear through their ears but they also use echolocation. This is just basically high-pitched sound waves sent out from a bats mouth or nose. These echoes then hit an object and bounce back to the bat. The bats can then locate the object, tell what size it is, and its shape, and its texture!
Bats hear with their ears and echolocation; it picks up vibrations and then waits for them to come back to the ear. See the related question below..

You've muddled two questions. They hear sounds in much the same way as any other mammal including us, although at much higher frequencies and band-widths, and that is part of their echo-location. They don't hear with their ears and echolocation: they call with their voices and hear with their ears.
They use echolocation, a way to send out noises and the animal can estimate where their prey is.
because they don't have real eyes just glass ones
They hear so well that they can hear vibrations under water and high pitched noises from hundreds of kms away.
