In other ancient societies, the monarch was all-powerful; and in some cases he also held the title of high priest. Among the Israelites, however, the king had no jurisdiction in the Temple; and he was under the constant scrutiny of the Divinely-informed prophets, who didn't hesitate to castigate him publicly for any misstep in the sight of God. And, other than for the crime of rebellion, the king couldn't punish any citizen by his own decision. He was obligated by the Torah-procedures like everyone else.

How many words were in the Hebrew language in 1400 BCE?

There is no way to know. We have no knowledge of the number of words in Hebrew in ancient times, given that the Bible is our only source of information about the language, and it only contains about 8000 different words. In 1400 BCE, Hebrew was quite different than it was in the Torah. At that point in time, Hebrew, Canaanite, and Ugaritic were all the same language. Linguists refer to this era of Hebrew as Proto-Hebrew, and may not have been mutually intelligible with Biblical Hebrew.

How many times love is used in the bible?

This is trickier than it sounds because many different Hebrew and Greek words are translated as 'love'. Three main Hebrew words and three Greek ones are the most common love words. The Hebrew word ahab occurs 250 times in the Law and the Prophets, while the Greek agape occurs 250 times in the New Testament. The King James Version uses 'love' at least 280 times. The NIV and Good News Bible each use 'love' more than 500 times.
