Many , if not most , of the Fleischer Studios' Cartoons (Talkartoons - Out of the Inkwell - Song Car-tunes - et.al.) contained some surrealist element due to the creative license given the animators .

The Fleischer Studios helped to pioneer the Rotoscoping technique invented by Max Fleischer himself to promote the skills of the studio itself as well as it's animators .

The Fleischer Studios were part of what is now regarded as the "Golden Age of Animation" . For example , Popeye - Superman - etc...

Personally , I think the animated cartoon short "Koko's Earth Control" , which was part of the "Out of the Inkwell series of cartoons , remains the finest example of surrealism from the Fleischer Studios ~ see related link below .
