There were no medieval schools. The only people who could read and write were the priests and monks. Monks produced books and rewrote The Bible. They would work years on one book because it was done by hand. They also collected books and kept small libraries that they would use. 90% of the population could not read or write.

Middle Ages that are still open today, so clearly there were schools in the Middle Ages.

The children often didn’t attend school because they needed to help on the farm. Those who did go to school usually was over for most students by 8th grade, and they only went to school in the morning. There were no high schools until the 1930’s.
schools in England are different from schools in Scotland i would say there the same part from the say year 11 instead 4th year. but its a totally different experience from schools in Scotland but if you think about it every school is different and has different subjects its actually how you fit into the school that will make the school good
