As catle to be done with as seen fit by the owners. A black person could be worked to death or used as stud and his/her children sold from under them, they were not considered human. which is strange because white owners had no problems using black women and children to satisfy their sexual urges. it was not a nice place to be if you were black or even white with a tiny bit of black blood. there were plenty of slaves that looked to be totally white in the sex industry of the day.
