Southern Italy was more similar to northern Europe Northern Italy had formed citystates, and southern Italy had not. Southern Italy still had feudalism, while northern Italy did not. Northern Italy had formed citystates, and southern Italy had not.
I believe northern Italy has 10 major cities, I am only familiar with Padua and Treviso in Veneto.
The Po River in Italy flows between 405 and 425 miles. It runs westward across Northern Italy and through many major cities.
There are several cities in northern Italy. Some of these include Venice, Florence, Milan, Turin, Trento, Aosta, as well as Genoa.
Although it is in Germany, Munich is considered Italy's northern most city. This is because of it's proximity to Italy.
