The Armenian population in the Ottoman Empire was subject to a genocide led by the Young Turk Leaders during the World War 1 period, specifically 1915-1917. Armenian intellectuals in Istanbul and other major cities were deported and killed. Armenian military leaders in the Ottoman Ranks were ejected from their roles and sent back to their homes. Subsequently, entire towns and cities of Armenians were forcibly expelled from their hometowns by the Ottoman military, marched for weeks without food or water (leading to many dying on the road), and a number were massacred and deposited in mass graves. Ottoman Turkish soldiers were unconscionably brutish, belligerent, and murderous and there were top-down orders from Young Turk Leaders like Ismail Enver Pasha that the Armenians should be exterminated. Armenian Churches were destroyed, Armenian Holy Sites desecrated, Armenian cities were renamed in Turkish to erase their historic imprint on the land, and the Armenian language was forbidden.
Every single human right that the Armenians should have had was violated.
You might want to check out the Constitution's position on that in the 1830s--I dont think that, according to the constitution, the Native Americans had many rights at that time so perhaps their rights were not violated because they had none at all. If you were talking about the universal rights we have today regarding all beings, then they were DEFINITELY violated--they had no political say, they had no inclusion in legal rights, and they were raped, tortured, moved out of their homes, and killed brutally.
