take millions of years to form
by conserving
Natural resources that are used up more quickly than they can be replaced are nonrenewable resources. Earths supply of nonrenewable resources are limited . You use nonrenewable resources when you take home groceries in plastic bags, paint a wall, or travel by car. plastic, paints, and gasoline are made from important nonrenewable resources called petroleum, or oil, petroleum is formed mostly from the remains of microscopic marine organisms buried in the earths crust. It is nonrenewable because it takes hundreds of millions of years for it to form.
Fossil fuels come from fossilized animals or plants and take millions of years to form so they are therefore "nonrenewable."
Renewable resources take more than a one hundred years to be made.
yes
Oil, gas, and coal are considered nonrenewable resources, because once they are used up, it will take a very long time, (thousands of years) for the Earth to make more of them. Wind, solar, and hydroelectric (water) are renewable resources because they last forever, and we will never run out of air, water, or sunlight.
It is because, more energy comes from the nonrenewable resources than the renewable ones. Therefore we use more of the nonrenewable resources.
Because the time required to form them under natural processes is much much longer than the time it will take us to consume all of it.
We call these resources as nonrenewable. Once we use them up, the time to make more will take millions of years.
Fossil fuels take millions of years to form.
