73-87 c10 truck frames will fit with minor ajusting
It is a '56 Ford F-100.
I know that they fit rather nicely on a mid 70s 1/2 ton frame (short wheel base of course) . I have a 1956 F-100 sitting on a 1975 frame, the front body mounts even line up fairly well. The only drawback is that most of these conversions include major clearancing of the firewall to fit a v8 (mine has a 460 c.i. Ford) . The frame is much stiffer but is also much heavier than the original. I have also seen a 56 on a late 70s bronco frame, it looked great and fit nice.

56 f100
It seems to belong to Tim Allen himself. It's a '56 Ford F100 he apparently purchased from a Barrett Jackson auction for north of $75K. Detroit Speed Inc. has a write up and many pictures about the truck, Tim had them do work for him. The truck has a Ford Cobra engine and custom suspension. Tim owns two '56's; the other is silver with a supercharged Hemi.
Ford offered loans for '56 year model cars at $56/month
There is no VIN number on a 1950s vehicle. There is however a build plate located on the truck with a serial number on it that is similar to a VIN number that provides all the info about the truck. Look on the firewall, in the glove box, and anywhere else you might suspect it is located.
