What series GeForce card? 7XXX (7600GT, 7900GT), 8xxxx (8600GT, 8800GT, 8800GTX), 9xxxx (9400GT, 9500GT, 9600GT/9600GSO, 9800GT/9800GTX), GTS250 (rebranded 9800GTX), GTXxxx (GTX 260, GTX 275, GTX 285, GTX 295)..?

It also depends on the resolution of your monitor and CPU speed.

If you have a monitor that is 17" (1024 x 768) or 19" (1280 x 1024) and at least an 8800GT, and a dual core processor, you will be fine.

MW2 will use the same graphics engine as COD4, but, it has been streamlined--recoded to be more efficient.

Look into a program called Riva Tuner (Google search it) and use it to overclock your graphics card a bit (YouTube has several video tutorials) for a performance boost.
