Prediction is a fool's game. But here are mine! The internet will transform the educational system. Watching a teacher in a room crammed with students seems a poor use of money. But schools do more than teach classroom subjects. They socialize students, discover health and family problems, teach music, uncover young people with particular talents, "baby sit" while parents work. These are big tasks. So a student needs something else besides a computer. What I believe will happen is that small specialty schools will spring up. This is the best of all worlds.
