32quarts (8 gallons) w/ filter
Coolant added to engine oil? It would run but it would do serious damage to internal parts of the engine and drastically shorten the life span of the engine. Don't run it! Have the oil and filter changed NOW.
It is possible for engine oil to float on engine coolant. This occurs when there is a leaking or blown gasket.
I would say yes, if oil has mixed with the coolant, that's the most probable cause.
you mean there is coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant either ways sounds like a head gasket problem.
Qts of what? Engine oil? Coolant? Transmission oil? Engine info would also help
Valves have seals instead of gaskets and if one was bad you would have oil on the spark plug for that cylinder if you were to take it out and inspect it. A bad valve cover gasket would leak oil on the outside of the engine. a bad head gasket would put oil and/or pressure into the coolant system, coolant into the combustion chamber causing white smoke, or coolant into the oil. signs of a blown head gasket can be:- coolant leaking outside of engine from head/block area, coolant in engine oil, oil in radiator, over heating of engine.loss of pwer.loss of coolant from coolant resevoir, smell of coolant while driving, and not being able to tell where it is coming from
water pump, oil, water, engine coolant....main cause would be engine coolant, just check to see if you have a leak.
Yes. It would generally take a lack of oil or coolantYes. It would generally take a lack of oil or coolant
Engine? 3.1L V6 are notorious for intake manifold gasket leaks. get it fixed soon or your engine is at risk. My Lumina had oil in coolant and coolant in oil. If there is tan foamy stuff on oil fill cap, coolant is in oil too.
Excessive crank case blow by caused by worn piston rings
You drain the oil immediately. If you run the engine with coolant mixed with the oil you will do serious harm to the engine. If you continue to drive it in this condition you will destroy the engine.
