How do you get rid of Yahoo Mail?

To delete your Yahoo email account:

Log into Yahoo, go to Options (located far top right corner) > Mail Options > Accounts (left menu 5th one down) > Add or edit an account > then select the account you would like to delete and click the Delete button.

Open the link given in the "Sources".Enter the credentials and confirm the request. Your account will be deleted within 90 days.

By doing this you will lose access to all the yahoo services including Flickr and Yahoo!Answers.

All this includes:

-Mail

-Address Book

-Answers (your posted content will remain permanently archived)

-Messenger

-My Yahoo!

-Groups

-Alerts

-Flickr

-Any other area that is accessible with your username and password.(any social networking site as well)

Well.if you don't use it for 3 months or more then it becomes dormant

You can log into your account and then chose the option to delete the account or send an email to yahoo to close the account

You click on the little box beside the mail and hit delete at the top, OR you can open the email and click delete at the top.
