Worn piston rings, bad valve seals,
Leaking piston rings.
There is nothing to worry about with water in the exhaust. However water in your oil could suggest leaky gaskets. Depends where in the oil system or engine it is.
engine burning oil( white or blueish exhaust smoke ), water in oil, oil in water, water in exhaust.
I would say it is the exhaust system.
An exhaust valve(s) staying open upon compression.
yes it can because oil cal leak into the exhaust system and contaminate the catalytic converter
The water you see comming from the exhaust is condensation. A by product of the combustion process is water and until the exhaust system gets hot enough to maintain the water in the exhaust in a gaseous state it will condense (fall out of the exhaust stream) in the exhaust system. After the engine gets warm and heats up the exhaust system the water does not condense in the exhaust system anymore and is dirrected into the atmosphere. P.K.
That is condensation due to the exhaust system being cold and the heat from the engine makes the exhaust system / pipes sweat. As the exhaust system heats up then that will stop. Now you said WATER not antifreeze. If you had engine coolant running out of the exhaust then it would be the color of the antifreeze and it would be steaming WHITE and then you would have an engine problem, MAYJOR. You said water. Drive it you have no problems. That is normal.
if the smoke color is blue, then you are burning oil. look for an oil leak near or on the exhaust system.
== ==
Most likely a faulty gasket in the oil system, a faulty catalytic converter or a faulty component in the exhaust system.
it could be an oil leak.. my boyfriend had that happen to his s10 and he had oil leaking into his exhaust system
what is bad exhaust system?
