Great question. Sometimes an interviewer will ask you earlier in an interviewer how you describe yourself and then later asks you how others describe you --this is a great way to see where the similiarities and differences are.
Go back to the people who'll be your references and ask them what they see as your personal and work related strengths and weaknesses.
This type of question is showing the interviewer that you are aware of how others see/perceive you and its okay for you.
