Under relativity, you cannot. From your reference frame you appear to be standing still but from another person's you might appear to be moving. According to Einstein, there is no way to tell who is correct, in part because neither is "correct". Both reference frames are equally valid. This is one of the most fundamental principles of special relativity (along with the fact that the speed of light is constant)
The faintest motion of the leaves caught my attention in the still forest.

Anything from sitting still to running. When your sitting down your heart is still moving blood through your body and organs. Just typing is making several muscles contract and relax producing movement.
Yes. This time limit is how long you can sit still enough for the artist to work on you. Obviously, two hours or more sitting still for the artist or the client would start causing fatigue and irritability.

Electric charge produces an electric field by just sitting there. It doesn't have to move. If it moves, it produces a magnetic field. It doesn't matter how the motion would be described.
It' still go forward, but then it's more likely to tumble.
Sitting on usually indicates you are on something, while at would be near or beside it. So if were on a table, you would be sitting on the table. If you were on a chair beside the table, you would be sitting at the table. Sitting at can also refer to a time something is happening, like: "The parliament is sitting at 2pm".
Maybe. If there is a hung jury, the prosecution must decide whether or not to have another trial. If they decline to re-try the case, the defendant would be released. If they decide to have another trial, the defendant would remain in custody to await the new trial, if he/she was in custody for the first trial. Often, after a mistrial, the defense will make a motion or renew a motion for bond or for reduction of bond.
Only you can decide and know how you feel for someone past or present.
A bad transmission. The sound is from metal grinding on eachother.
The confederate states would be a country and so would the United States. The Confederacy probably wouldn't still have slavery. But it would be up to the states to decide.
