- Cloudy eyes - Not moving when you tap on the tank/bowl
- Gills not moving - The fish hasn't moved position for a few days - There may be signs of the fish getting moldy if it was dead for a longer period of time -Bettas usually sink down to the bottom of the bowl
If it's floating at the top of the tank, it is unfortunately dead.
It will sort of swim to the bottom (often the bottom corner) and lose its color and stay there until it goes to fishy heaven. Other fish will sometimes come and pick at the fish before it dies.
I hope your fish aren't dying :)
You can tell if your fish is dead because it will float to the top or you could just pick it up and if it doesn't move its dead.
It will be around the bottom not moving but it might flap a bit . If its been playing with the oxigon bubbles and done what I just said then its sure to die.
It will become lazy and very shy, may huddle at the back of the fish tank, or the back of the pond.
it first sinks to the bottom and doesnt move and then it floats at the top of the tank
By observation.
Well my fish could , i don't know about yours............. :D (my fish died yesterday)
They will die. I did it once and my fish died.
The fish and their pray would have nothing to feed on and die themselves.
