Do Jehovah's Witnesses befriends with non-Jehovah's Witnesses?

Yes, to a certain level either because of work or school etc. They do try to level there association to avoid being influenced by the outside "world" which they think is bad for their spirituality. They do make friends but are carefull to befriend people with good traits. Yes they are allowed to be friends with people who are non-Jehovah's Witnesses. They are careful with getting involved in negative activities with the outside world. My mom's side of the family are Jehovah's Witnesses and not in a negative way but my aunt keeps seeing demons.

Are Jehovahs Witnesses a bad religon?

No, Jehovah's Witnesses are not bad. They are very soft spoken, kind and helpful people. They are simply another religion in many with some different beliefs as all religions have. The probably work harder at their faith and acts and are maybe more diligent in adhering to their beliefs than many other religions. People dread seeing the Jehovah's Witnesses coming to their door, but they should be admired for getting out and performing the works they believe in. There's no reason to slam the door in their faces, or shout at them. The best thing is to simply say something like, "I appreciated that you are doing the works that you believe in, but I am from a different religion and would appreciate it if you don't come here any more. Good luck in all you set out to do."

What U.S. president was one of Jehovah's Witnesses?

Whilst it appears that no serving U.S. president was a Witness, Dwight D. Eisenhower's parents were Witnesses at some time and evidently Eisenhower was brought up as a child Witness. The following quote from The Watchtower 15th Aug 1955 page 511 explains''Jehovah's Witnesses-the New World SocietyA new book by this name has been published by Vantage Press of New York city. Written in newsy reporter style by Marley Cole, it presents for the first time in book form authentic information on the history, activities and doctrinal views of Jehovah's witnesses. Much of the material was gathered by personal interviews with witnesses, some of them being officials of the Society. Frequently in the news is something about the religion of President Eisenhower's parents. This book gives the facts often overlooked or concealed, with documentary proof that they were Jehovah's witnesses for many years. You will be interested in reading this 229-page book and seeing its many fine photographs. It is $2.95 a copy, and may be had at your local bookstore or from the Watchtower Society, 117 Adams Street, Brooklyn 1, N. Y ''

Did UFOs really appear in Lebanon?

I believe so. There were many witnesses that can atest to seeing something. But it really isn't so surprising. War/battle zones seem to be of much interest to whatever it is that watches us from the sky.

How does corelia grumman argue against the use of lineups in her article when believing isn't seeing?

Corelia Grumman argues against the use of lineups by highlighting their potential for bias and inaccuracies due to witnesses feeling pressured to make an identification, as well as the tendency for witnesses to rely on visual similarities rather than actual memory of the event. She emphasizes that memory is fallible and can be influenced by various factors, making lineups an unreliable method for identifying perpetrators.

Are there any living witnesses to the robberies of Bonnie and Clyde?

They were active in the mid 1930s around 80 years ago. Someone who was a child in that time period but old enough to understand what they were seeing would be in their mid to late nineties. So it is possible.

Who was seen with Jesus after his resurrection?

The four gospels and Acts of the Apostles provide various different versions of Jesus meeting some of his followers after his resurrection, but none of them makes any mention of any independent witnesses ever seeing Jesus with any of his followers.

Why don't Jehovah witnesses sing and stand for o Canada?

The Official Lyrics of "O Canada!" are;O Canada! Our home and native land!True patriot love in all thy sons command. With glowing hearts we see thee rise,The True North strong and free! From far and wide,O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.God keep our land glorious and free!O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.O Canada, we stand on guard for thee. The question above, can be answered from different angles. One Angle: The name 'Jehovah's Witnesses' says it all. We are first and foremost 'witnesses' of Jehovah God. We are not witnesses for Canada, or any other government. Jehovah God did not establish the different countries. Humans did, without consulting Jehovah. We consider the following:Many who sing their national anthem, do not have similar 'songs of praise' for Jehovah God. They don't even call him by his name. Something is missing when it comes to priorities. While they will defend their country with their lives, -- is there similar zeal in defending the high moral standard which Jehovah has established for mankind? Do they sing about 'chasteness'; about the sanctity of life; about the sanctity of marriage? These are virtues to defend with our whole life, our whole being. We also consider the words:The words 'patriot love' is in the song. Jehovah's Witnesses do not wish to be viewed as patriotic, regardless of which country they live in. We consider ourselves merely good 'citizens' who 'respect' the country they live in; who abide by the laws; and even abide by the principles upon which laws are founded. We help our fellowmen to become good citizens, in many practical ways. The song states that we should command our sons to have 'patriot love'; which includes 'standing on guard' for Canada. Jehovah's Witnesses do not 'stand on guard' in the military, in any patriotic love. We consider that training for warfare is not for Christians. We can't imagine seeing Jesus commanding his sons to train for warfare.Another expression: "God keep our land glorious and free!"Actually Jehovah's Witnesses pray the Lord's Prayer, where we pray for God's Kingdom Government to come. When God's Kingdom comes, what do you think it will do to all the governments on earth? We ask ourselves: How could we pray for God's Kingdom to come, out of one side of our mouth; and then sing for 'God to keep our land glorious and free', out of the other side of our mouth. To us this is contradictory. We recognize what national anthems really are. They are a way to express allegiance. Jehovah's Witnesses allegiance is only to Jehovah God and his Kingdom by Christ. We feel God's Kingdom was established in the heavens in 1914; and we have been preaching that Kingdom's arrival every since. We consider ourselves 'ambassadors' and 'envoys' of God's established Kingdom. In that role, we've been trying to help citizens of all countries to abide by God's laws. They are found in the Bible. We feel that Jehovah God will soon Judge the whole earth according to His standards of righteousness. This is our passion, our patriot love.

What is the financial situation of the Jehovahs witnesses?

I don't know the financial status of all congregations and organization. However, I can assure you that 'Jehovah's Witnesses' is a most transparent religious organization, as every congregation will make and announce the financial situation and expenditure of their congregation once a month. A Ministerial Servant (a baptised male with certain privileges and responsibilities in the congregation) will read out an accounts report that details the incomings and outgoings of the congregation for the previous month. So, everyone, including non-witnesses who attend the congregation, can know the financial situation of that specific congregation. It is not just the local congregation financial situation and expenditure that is reported. Large meetings (which are called Conventions and Assemblies) which are held thrice a year will report their financial situation and expenditure to all the attendants. So, as with congregation meetings, the public that attended the large meetings will know the financial situation of Jehovah's witnesses. Since Jehovah's witnesses do good and handsomely in small financial reports, they will be honest and transparent in all other major financial reports. (Luke 16:10) When it comes to the financial status of the head quarters of Jehovah's Witnesses, the transparency is practically non-existant. As far as I remember, every year in their yearbook, they mention how much money the head quarter spends in printing their literature and supporting their volunteer personnel. Yet I do not remember ever seeing them mentioning how much money the head quarter receives in donations. The Watchtower often prints on their literature suggestions on how to make donations, yet never tell anyone who donated money how to request a detailed expenditure account of how these funds were used.
