This depends on the operating system you are using. In DOS, you'd use the copy command unless you are in a program, then in that case, you'd tell the program to save it there. In Windows, you'd drag and drop the file while out in Windows Explorer, or save it there from inside a program.

How do you work with floppy disk?

There's no secret to work with floppy disks. Although they have a small storage capacity, their cases is very useful to keep the disk free from damages. I don't know how they are used today, as the modern computers seems to have eliminated the drive from the hardwares items. However, I consider them very useful to record small and important files. When you have a document or image that you want to keep it safe, just click on the file using the right side of the mouse, and a window will open showing the drives of the computer. Click on the file and send it to the floppy disk drive using the left side of the mouse, automatically the file will be saved. If the modern motherboads still support floppy disk drives, just connect the drive into the computer and start using the floppy disks.

How do you send downloads?

Are you asking how you can send files which you've downloaded? If you are, then it's probably going to be easiest to just download the files again on whatever computer you wanted to send them to. If you can't find the download source, then there are a number of ways to send files. If the file is small enough, you can send it as an email attachment. This would work for sure if the file is less than a few MB. If the file size is not shown next to the file, you can check it by right clicking on the file and selecting properties. If it is not shown in the box that appears, you will need to click the tab that says "General" and it will show a file size. (this is if you are using windows) The file size will most likely be listed in kilobytes. 1000 kilobytes is one MB. If it is a little bit large you can try attaching it to an email anyway, and it may work. If the file is several MB, there are more options. If the location you want to send the file to is near you, it would be easiest to put the file on a USB flash drive then just plug that drive into the recipient computer. A flash drive should be big enough for any file you want to transfer. If you cannot physically make the transfer, you can use a website called Transferbigfiles.com This site will allow you to transfer files up to 1 GB (1000 MB) for free. There are better options than the ones I've listed here. These are just the easiest ones.

How are data files saved on floppy disks?

Put a floppy disk in the drive. With Windows, go to file save as, then go to the drop down box. At the top of that box, go the 3 1/2 floppy and save it.it is done by a reading light that passes over dints in the disk which is allocated inside the platic cover which forms the binery cod 1 and 0 forming data blocks form the code, e.g110110010111011101101thanks borisThe answer above is refering in principle to how CD's work - NOT floppies. Floppy disks store binary data as a series of magnetic dots on the surface of the disk and are written to / read from by a voice coil (electro-magnet).

A client has rung up and asked you to send them their legal file as they have decided not to proceed any further. What would you do?

First, I would make sure the client had paid me in full for the services to date. Then I would copy the file and send the copies to him and hold on to the original file. This is a record of work you have done and you should keep the file for future reference.
