The general equation for power in a BALANCED three-phase load is as follows:

P = EL IL x power factor

...where EL and IL are the line voltage and line current, respectively.

So all you have to do is to manipulate the equation to make the line current the subject, and insert your figures.

How the do calculate the power developed by a 12v regulated power supply?

The word "developed" is slightly odd in this context. If the power supply provides a current to some instrument or device, the power supplied is the voltage multiplied by the current. The power supply will also consume some power itself to do this job. The total power consumed (provided to the power supply) equals the input current multiplied by the input voltage.

How do you calculate uninterruptible power supply?

You can't "calculate" it...

How do you calculate total power in parallel?

Either (1) determine the power of each branch, and add them together, or (2) multiply the load current by the supply voltage.

What will happen if i connect a power supply of higher current rating to lower current load?

The supply won't have to work as hard. It is perfectly acceptable, for example, to use a 1A, 12v supply to supply a 12v, .5A load. The current rating indicates the ability of the supply to dissipate heat caused by the current flowing. If the load current is above the power supply current rating, the power supply will overheat.

Full form of DC power supply?

DC Power is Direct Current Power Supply.

240 volts ac 100 ma is equal to how many watts?

Hi, the formula used to calculate this is P = U x I.where:P = Watt (W)U = voltage (V)I = current (A)You need 2 units to calculate the third one.Volt x current equals Watt240 V x 0.1 A (equals 100mA) = 24 WattAnswerThe equation for (true) power in an AC circuit is: P = (U I) x power factorSo, you need to know the power factor of the load in order to calculate the power. With the information you supply, you can only calculate the apparent power, expressed in volt amperes, which is the product of the supply voltage and the load current -using the figures that you supply, this will be 24 V.A.

How do you calculate short circuit current?

A short circuit = 0 ohm, from this one can use ohms law to calculate the current, that is E/R voltage divided by resistance as in this instance your resistance is zero and you can't divide by zero so your current will be infinit. In other words if your power supply is large enough to supply 200 amp, your current on a short circuit will be 200 amp.

Can you calculate power by multiplying voltage and current?

Not enough information. Power = current x voltage. Since voltage can be anything, there is no way to calculate power. Time is irrelevant; though once you have the power, it can help you calculate energy (energy = power x time).

How do you calculate voltampers in ac circuits?

The volt ampere (V.A) is the unit of measurement for the apparent power of an a.c. load. It is the product of the supply voltage and the load current.

What is the function of power supply in system unit?

The function of the power supply is to convert wall current to the correct current for the computer and distribute power to all the internal computer components.

What is rectification and which power supply provides a smoother form of rectification with less fluctuation?

Rectification is the process of converting alternating current into direct current. The smoothest power supply is a 'switched mode' supply.
