Try an acid catalyzed esterification of p-aminobenzoic acid with 2-diethylamino-ethanol. Use ~3.5 equivalents of sulfuric acid as the acid catalyst (note 2 of these will be used up to protonate nitrogens while the esterification takes place). reflux for ~2 hours, quench with sodium carbonate to mop up the acid afterwards, then recrystallize from a suitable solvent (maybe ethanol/water mix).
