The short answer to this is: YOU DON'T! I know it sounds crazy, but do yourself a favor and look at the fuel system parts diagram at the dealership's parts counter. The fuel filter assembly is a sealed metal unit with permanently attached Plumbing that has to be seen to be believed. Unless you have a really severe case of fuel contamination, do not undertake this job. If you really have to and can't afford the going rate at your dealer, patience will be your only ally in this undertaking. You will need to invest in really good quality fuel hose line removal tools. Snap-on, Matco, etc all have them. Do not be tempted into circumventing these fuel line connections with a piece of rubber hose and several hose clamps, the system provides too much pressure for these methods and it will leak, and that WILL start a fire.
