Buy a spanner wrench with studs on the face to hold the pulley and a open end wrench that fits @ the fan bolt at auto parts store. Then turn the fan bolt in the direction the fan turns when the engine is on, holding the pulley with spanner wrench. And its off. Not that hard.

The GMC Envoy XUV was first introduced in 1998. The first generation lasted in production until 2000. They decided to re-release the Envoy in a second generation model that started in 2002 until 2009.
The Watter pump is behind the main pulley that the cooling fan is attach to. take the top of the calling off and then take the fan off then the pulley. The water pump is right there. It takes 5 bolts. about a 2 hour job.
According to the 05 brochure, the Envoy I6 has a max. capacity of 6300lbs. The XL version I6 is 6000lbs. Xuv is 5800lbs. The V8 Envoy XL is 7000lbs and the V8 XUV is 5900lbs.

more than likely it is the window regulator.I had to take mine back to the dealer for repair.
The dealer told me to find a junk yard with one in, and make SURE you get the bolts also!
