that i believe is an ip address. type it in the top of your browser or ping it in cmd cmd type ping (webaddress or ip)
You need to get the host of the server to provide you with their ip address. To do this,(on windows XP), go to start and choose "run", then type in "cmd" ,(this will open up the command prompt), in the cmd type in "ipconfig" this will give you the ip. Your host will also need to have there ports forwarded for minecraft.

Go into the cmd and type ipconfig and look for your ip, don't do anything but look at it.

By typing ipconfig \all in cmd prompt,we can see our ip address.
you can use cmd prompt by typing cmd in run on xp vista and 7 for local and for wide area you can use any ip site such as ipchicken.com or whatsmyip.org
go to run-cmd-ipconfig
Go to the Start menu on a home computer, type CMD in the search field, Click Command Prompt and type itconfig and press enter. This method should provide the IP address.
YouTube's IP address is "208.65.153.251". You can manually find YouTube's IP address by inputting Start-> Run-> cmd-> ping www.youtube.com
