I have a HP Pavilian a1130n, it sat too long without use now I can't back in with out an administrator pass word
with your computer administrator you can take passwords off the accounts without knowing the password.
Under guest account you cannot do much, and of course you cannot get administrator rights. But if it's your personal computer you can cancel a administrator password using a special cd, for instance, NT Cracker. After you cancel the password you will be able to log on under administrator account without a password.
If you are on a network, you may need an administrator password to install software of any kind. But if you are upgrading your home computer, you won't need any password.
there is no way you can find it unless you hack the school computer that the only way other then that you cant.
Usually there is a hidden administrator account on windows xp. Try logging with username Administrator without a password. If whoever installed you Windows was smart enough to put a password on it, or you are working with the administrator account then try calling a technician.
The administrator is hidden. Select My Computer, Manage, Local Users & Groups, click on Group, then Administrator, add your account name and there it is.
Hmmm...that would depend on several things. Is the computer a server, standalone system, networked system? I assume you are talking getting past the password prompt. There are numerous different operating systems and therefore numerous different methods of approach. Is the password you are tying to get around a BIOS password, user password, administrator password? Without knowing those, as well as other specifics, I am afraid I would have to recommend you contact a local professional computer technician.
Not unless you have the admins password.
yes.... do some google searches, they have password resetters :)
I have the same thing. You cannot change the time or add more time without the admin's password. It is a mandatory, and without it, it will not let you do anything. Same for any other settings in Parental Controls.
Reinstall the operating system or if you have the password simply reset it at "Control Panel".
Windows does not store passwords in plaintext. They are stored in an encrypted / hashed format. This means that once you have entered the password, you cannot display the actual text. The only way to determine what the password was is if the password was insecure and you matched it a known hash for a given password. Suggest you now do as following: 1. Try No Password Administrator Login Backdoor- In Windows XP there is built in administrator user account that has administrator credentials, enabled by default and without any password to protect the account from been access. If you didn't change the administrator's password, then try to sign in to Windows XP without password. 2. Reset password from another user account with administrator credentials. If you are unable to find your lost password from the above listed methods then you might want to buy password recovery software.
