Cummins makes a wide range of commercial, marine, and industrial diesel engines. Perhaps it would help if you told us which Cummins engine you had in mind.
These hp and torque numbers are incorrect for a 94 cummins dodge, 195hp and 400lbs of torque is more like it. 04 models have the 325hp 600lbs of torque cummins in them. Although it wouldn't take much to boost a 94 model far beyond the 04 ratings if you didn't mind spending a couple $.
The 2006 cummins is the most powerful of the 5.9's at 325 hp and 610 torque
the high output is 315 hp the others are 305 hp
350 hp from the factory stock
450 lbs hp at level 3 and 820 lb torque
actually i have a 6.7 cummins and the stock hp is 350 and 650 ft lbs of torque for the 2008 dodge states that it makes 350 HP at the rear wheels with 610 ft lbs of torque, actual power is less at the dyno based on elevation, temperature etc...
A 1989-1993 Cummins has 160 HP stock, The 94 and 95 automatic also had 160 HP, The manual in 94 and 95 had 175 HP, a 95 High output was 180 HP. In 96-98 the auto was 175 HP and the manual was 215 HP. 1998 was the last year of the 12 Valve Cummins. An intake and a 4" exaust should add 20-30 HP and a 2-3 MPG increase on your truck.
The power rating for the 2003 model year Cummins diesel engine is 305 hp and 555 pound feet of torque. This was the 5.9L Inline-6 turbo diesel engine from Cummins.
235 hp @ 2700 RPM, 460 ft lbs torque @ 1400 RPM
325 hp @ 2900 RPM, 600 ft lbs torque @ 1600 RPM
Actually, they are both rated at 650 ft lbs. of torque and 350 HP. I am not sure about the rpm's though.
