Well, first of all you will need your parents permission. While certain areas of sexual health medicine can be performed without parental consent, this is an optional surgery, which is essentially cosmetic, unless you have a medical condition that makes circumcision necessary. Since it's optional, and a surgery, you will need your parent's permission. Secondly, you will need the money to pay for the surgery. It will not be covered by health insurance unless there is a documented medical reason for the procedure. Circumcision for a 15 year old is not very expensive since only local anesthesia is used. You can expect to maybe pay $400 or $500 for the procedure. You should see a urologist who is used to performing the surgery. While any doctor can perform the surgery, you should find a physician who has experience performing circumcisions. This will most likely be a urologist.

Most doctors will probably discourage you from having the surgery performed as it has no known medical benefits and has a number of drawbacks, including a painful two to three week recovery period and risks of medical and surgical complications such as post-operative pain, infection, and prolonged bleeding.
