If you are 19, why do they still have legal guardianship over you... I don't know about where you live, but in Canada you are legally allowed to move out anytime after 16, and in general, you're major age 18, so your parents DO NOT have guardianship of you anymore. They used to, but it's over since you 18th birthday. You're a legal adult, and you can move out whenever you want. In the United States the legal age is 18, in some states it's even 17, however there are stipulations at that age, for example, Louisiana Law states a child can move out of their parents home at the age of 17, however they cannot legally move outside the state until they are 18. At the age of 18, you become an adult, your parents have no legal control over you. They can not even legally claim you as a dependent if you work and file your own taxes. With ONE main exception to this law, they can claim you as a dependent if they provide more than 1/2 your support and you live with them for more than 6 months out of the year. Otherwise, you can move out at anytime.
Guardianship only
if you are over 18, they cant do anything about it.
