Most companies verify what's on a resume. It is never a good idea to lie your resume. If you are caught, it is grounds for immediate dismissal. This will create huge problems in finding more work.

Always best to be honest. Especially when it comes to lieing about military service. To any potential employers, this tells them you are dishonest and can't be trusted.
