I'm heading to the snow and i need to put antifreeze in my car how much do i need to put in I'm not sure how much antifreeze there is in the car already though or if there is any already?

Automotive cooling systems are sealed, in a normally operation they should not need routine "top-offs." Repeated low levels and refilling is indicative of a leak and must be serviced to prevent serious engine damage and or a highway emergency. That being said it always a good idea to keep a gallon jug of premixed coolant in the vehicle for use in an emergency. This may allow the vehicle to filled during a major leak allowing it to get to the nearest service center safely. In order to check coolant level the overflow tank/reservoir is usually clear allowing you to see the level. Make sure the level meets the fill line mark. It is also advisable to have the coolant system inspected, pressure tested for leaks, and flushed-refilled per the factory recommendations.
