The LX has a D16Y7 engine where as the EX has a D16Y8 engine, they have different engines but the oil pan plug from the LX should fit into the EX. The blocks of the engines are the same size 1.6L having the same size oil pans. So the Oil plug should fit without any problems.
The 1993 1.5 liter Honda gearbox is different than the 1998 1.5 liter Honda gearbox. The gearboxes are not interchangeable.
