If it says invalid, then I know what to do. Its the shop keepers fault not yours. What happens is, when you buy a card. The shop keeper puts it in this machine i forgot what they call it. And that deactivates, the card. It can happen anywhere even a little gas station. Just go up to the place where you got it and say "This invalid, could you please make it valid", and if you weren't given a reciept just tell them. That's what happened last night with my $30 gift card, thankfully i just made it valid. Hope it helps.
