I have a linc ls v8. I have had this same problem 4 x. each time i had to replace coils . If you have 6 cyl you have 6 coils . If you have 8 cyl you have 8 coils . Each one can go one by one. You must replace this asap. If you dont it will leak to the val and cause engin problems. i had the same issue before. i hope this help you out. Beside this problem i love the car and wish they would make a new one

dealer must clear
Timing chains are designed to last the life of the engine and are replaced when the engine is rebuilt.
The voltage regulator is part of the engine computer. That will have to be replaced by the dealer.
The 2014 Lincoln MKZ has an inline 4 engine.
The 2011 Lincoln MKS has a V6 engine.
If the timing chain on your Lincoln LS is worn out then it should be replaced. A worn out timing chain can jump a link, or more, and the engine will ultimately not be able to run. Normally the timing chain will last the life of the engine.
the a/c compressor on a 3.9 Lincoln LS is located under the engine next to the front left tire. i know i just replaced it.
= "Do you have to flash the computer after you replaced the engine?" =
It likely is the heater control valve on the back of the engine. It is a poor design and I have replaced it twice in 110K miles. The cost at the dealer is $290 to replace. The Saab has the same poor design I am told by the Dealer.
This was happening to me and the check engine light came on as well. I had to have my catalytic converters replaced, there are two on the 2002 Millenia S.It cost about $2,000.00 at the dealer and parts had to be ordered.
