You can swim in it immediately Obviously the above person does not know what they are talking about. Better answer would be to wait 20 minutes for the pump to circulate the water and to keep you from swimming through a cloud of ACID. You would certainly regret swimming thru the acid if it got into a wound even a small cut or in your eyes or mouth or mucous membranes.
