CALL THE CLERK! Even as an attorney, I have always found court clerks to have a wealth of information. They will not do the work for you, but they will answer straightforward questions. In addition to a date for a response, there may be a court hearing date set, so be sure to keep track of both.

Added: Make sure you save the envelope! If any probelm is encountered, you can use the postmark on the envelope to prove to the court that you were notified in an untimely and improper manner.
