The "trick" to constructing mini-straw bridges seems to lie in the shape of the straws used. If you leave the straws long they lack the stregth needed to span the gap effectively. Try looking at the designs of some bridges by doing a Google images search. You will find many of these use triangular shapes.
You can find Stone Bridge High School located in Ashburn, Virginia. The school is part of the Loudon County School District. The school is relatively new, having opened in the year 2000. The school mascot is the Bulldogs.
