If you are confirmed it is because the Holy Spirit has called you to confirmation. Ie God has a purpose for everything. You cannot therefore be unconfirmed. God never changes his mind. You however may stray and become a lost sheep, but Jesus is always there ready to accept you back to the flock. Faith is a journey like maturity except that it is a whole of life process.

I was baptized a Roman Catholic but confirmed Orthodox and I married a Greek Orthodox can I have my nephew baptized in a Catholic Church?

Since you are confirmed Orthodox and married a Greek Orthodox, the Orthodox Church requires that any children you may have should be baptized Orthodox. Also, as an Orthodox, you are not allowed to baptize your nephew or any other person in a catholic church. From the Catholic point of view, unless your nephew is to be reared a Catholic, he may not be baptized in the Catholic Church. If he is to be reared Catholic, either by his parents or godparents, the Church will receive him. No you are GREEK orthodox u must not I reapeat not baptisma your child at a catholic church.

Can the sponsor be Anglican if the person being confirmed is catholic?

No. The sponsor MUST be a practicing Catholic who has been confirmed previously (such as the year before) and at least 18 or older and is never (a) (the) parent of the person who is to be confirmed as a Catholic. The sponsor may not/cannot be a member of any other Christian Church or Community, only Catholic. It can be a close friend, a godparent, aunt, uncle, teacher, whoever, but they must be Catholic, period. Any guests of the person to be confirmed who are not Catholic are welcome to observe the sacrament during the Mass, but are refrained from taking Holy Communion during the Mass.

Is a confirmed Christian recognized in a Catholic church?

Only the Sacrament of Baptism, that is performed in another Christian Church, is recognized by the Catholic Church..Catholic AnswerThe only sacrament that can be given by anyone - even a non-baptized person - is baptism. Every other sacrament, including confirmation, requires a validly ordained priest, which can only be found in a Catholic Church, or in an Orthodox Church which has maintained valid orders. Someone outside the Catholic Church who has been validly baptized is considered a Christian, but any confirmation attempted outside the Church would be invalid.

Can an adult be confirmed in the Catholic Faith without a divorce annulment?

If a Catholic receives a civil divorce and remarries without an annulment from the Church, he/she could not receive any sacraments in the Church as the person would be considered as having incurred auto-excommunication. By his/her actions they have removed themselves from the Church. Until they regularize their matrimonial situation and make a good confession they are barred from receiving Confirmation or any sacrament.

What is the English Catholic Religion?

The English Catholic Church is just that, a Catholic Church in union with the pope in Rome. It is no different from any Catholic Church elsewhere in the world except that the language used is English. While the Church of England (Anglican Church) claims to be "Catholic" they are not in union with the pope in Rome so are considered as a Protestant denomination and not Catholic.
