I am trying to open a wlmp file windows live movie maker on my XP system Live movie maker only runs on Windows 7 or Vista Through all my research i have not come across a way to do this?

You can't open a Windows Live Movie Maker Project (wlmp) on Windows XP operating system. So, don't waste your time trying. Windows Live is for Vista and Windows 7 versions only.
