First four weeks of what? Sounds like you're refering to menstrual bleeding. It can be a sign of internal problems, in which case, should be looked at by a professional. But it's most often nothing to worry about.
i lost my iPod touch and couldn't find it for two weeks. I had looked everywhere and finally i just gave up. i found it in the middle of my yard and it actually worked. we had a couple of rain storms in that two weeks too. so in my case the iPod touch is waterproof, because not only did it survive the rain it survived dew every night for two weeks. i still wouldn't recommend doing anything that could get it wet on purpose, but in worst case scenario it most likely will work. I also have heard many stories of people dropping there iPod/iPhone in water and it works.
Everywhere on earth south of the Antarctic Circle experiences at least one 24-hour period of no sunrise/ sunset. Depending on where you are on the continent, this period may be days, weeks or -- in the case of the South Pole: six months.
