I created a word file yesterday using XP saved the file on external drive then loaded Windows 7 onto my computer Now the word file is shown in green text and I cant open it Need help?

Green files means they are encrypted. You will have to undo this on the same computer within the same user by right clicking the file and choosing properties -> advanced. Transfer the new file.
