Your wireless router should have ethernet port. It just like joining your compter to the router
Wifi, Internet(wireless), Ethernet(wireless), Mifi (sounds funny but it really is a network.)
Wi-Fi is really popular because instead of having a wired connection to your internet they have invented a wireless internet to access the internet on any type of machine as long as they have a wireless card built into them which all computers/laptops have now.
Verizon Wireless is one of the most popular of internet connections and wireless communications. The reviews people wrote mostly say how fast and reliable they are but it may really depend on where you live.
You have two options you can buy a usb adapter that your internet cable plugs into, or if your computer has pci slots they make internet cards that fit in your pci slot.
Check to make sure the router is connected to the internet. I had a problem like this once. Make sure you put in the correct wireless key. It will still say that it can connect to the router but you wont really be connected to it.
Setting your internet for wireless use is really easy. Your Internet provider should provide details either online or by 'phone on how to set this up. Alternatively, using your broadband in the wired option you can access the Internet and find many, many tutorials that will talk you through the process. For example, try, www.microsoft.com.
Verizon seems to be really popular right now. I have a friend who is happy with their wireless service from Verizon because it is really fast.
Its the same. WIFI is wireless technology.
Neither really. You pay for a connection from an ISP. Your ISP's signals go to your router through your phone lines. Then your PC is connected to the router (through ethernet or wireless), and that's how it accesses the internet. The PSP is no different, it connects to a wireless router and accesses the internet in the same way. It does not use the PC as a middleman, as such.
While WiFi may seem like really fast internet, it's actually a fact that pluging your Ethernet cable into your PC is faster than WiFi, if you don't believe me. Put your Internet modem about 10 feet away from your PC, see how fast your PC is, then move back by your PC and plug in a Ethernet cable and see how it is.
If you have wired on wireless you need to set it up which is really easy using the setup manager which is under Settings or System >Internet settings. When you have finished with the manager you can use the internet browser or the PSN to play online with friends.
You do not really have to configure a Linksys wireless internet router. It will do this automatically by picking up signals after you attach the Ethernet cable.
