I don't smoke at home however does the smell of smoke on my breath affect my kids wife etc?

I think yes because, you could bring in second hand smoke. And your kids, and wife could breathe in that smoke and it could cause lung damage and cause cancer. Maybe when you go to your house you can spray something on yourself so you can prevent them from breathing it.
