if its not around anybody or anything, the best thing to do is take care of it. if it hatches, take it where u found it and let it free.

I would research this more before removing it to incubate - maybe call a local authority on birds, or a feed store, or online. For example, ducks do not start sitting on their eggs for 10-14 days after they started producing them... so the mommy of this egg could be coming back... and, how do you know it is a swan egg?

Q: I found a swan egg but it is not in a nest it is in the sun at the moment and there is no swans or any birds around Should i take the egg and look after it or is this normal for a swan to do?
