The same thing happened to my friend. And it was more akward because the girl was my girlfriends best friend. Just tell her how you feel. She is obviously not worth it. Ignore her and look for someone who will like you for the decent person you are. She must have made you feel like a fool.

Remember to keep your voice tone firm and express the disappointment/anger in your voice. Dogs are quick learners and they do not like disappointing their owners and hence they would learn that, this action of theirs doesnt make you happy. Do not beat up the dog. It will not help.
