I got a 1997 Tahoe 5.7 vortec with random misfire on 6 you have went through all your basic tune procedures to replacing the injector and fuel regulator Does anybody have a answer?

I've been dealing with a 97 Tahoe same issue as your for three days working on it off and on when i could stand to look at it again. found the problem this morning...
take breather tube out of right valve cover and tape off tube to let mass air read correctly, remove pcv from left cover and plug off valve cover hole start motor on go to right cover and put your thumb over hole. most likely you will have vac. there instead of pressure the intake gasket is cracked on cylinder 6 runner.

Usually a misfire code is caused by bad spark plug, plug wire or coil. The injector is usually another code. Try these first. Good luck. I am now able to answer my own question fault code read intermitent missfire number 3 injector works once then stops fault code number o300 dealer injector

Fuel injectors run on electricity, and an electrical impulse to fire. When the charge is gone, so to is the ability for a fuel injector to move fuel to the engine block. You are getting fuel to the fuel injector, but not the engine. Check the voltage going to the fuel injectors. -no voltage, or not enough --short circuit in fuel electrical system. --replace the ecu (check the manual or call the dealership) -good voltage to injectors, replace the fuel injectors.
