I got a Dell computer with windows 2000 on it at a garage sale but when I turn it on you have to do control alt delete then it prompts you to enter a username and password is there any way to disabl?

If you don't know the user name and password there are two things that you can do 1. Reinstall Windows
2. Make friends with a hacker There is one other possibility - if you start it in safe mode then there might be a special administrator account that shows up, if it doesn't have a password you can just go in and delete the other user account on the computer and then make a new one with your own User name and Password If the computer is old enough to have Windows 2000 on it I wouldn't recommend putting anything newer than XP on it.
