I have a '03 pt cruiser and sometimes it just wont start..it may take up to 45mins or longer of just constant turning over..tested the starter and alt. they were both good. put a new battery. help me?

Not exactly sure if this is the same but I have a similar problem. Engine cranks but won't start. Originally I thought it was a problem with the alarm / ignition cut-off. However, I got a yellow light of the engine within my "dummy lights" So I had a buddy check the codes. he came up with P340 (cam position sensor issue)
I was checking here on how to replace the sensor and a little research shows it cost roughly $65.00 USD.
