Not exactly sure if this is the same but I have a similar problem. Engine cranks but won't start. Originally I thought it was a problem with the alarm / ignition cut-off. However, I got a yellow light of the engine within my "dummy lights" So I had a buddy check the codes. he came up with P340 (cam position sensor issue)
I was checking here on how to replace the sensor and a little research shows it cost roughly $65.00 USD.
Hope this helps some.
PT Cruiser batteries can be jumped with jumper cables. When jumper cables are attached to the battery in the PT Cruiser and are attached to the battery and another car battery, the battery will get charged, after a few minutes.
On a 2004 PT Cruiser it is just ahead of the air filter. Remove the air filter cover to service the battery.
Yep
The battery light means your battery is low. You should go to a mechanics.
Changing a battery on a 2006 PT Cruiser is very simple to do. The battery terminal cables will need to be taken off and put to the side. After the cables are off, take the battery off and replace it with a new one.
disconnet the battery.
