Ok here are the specs for steering wheel free play. Free play in either direction must not exceed 13-26 mm (0.512-01.24 inches). If the measurements go beyond this check worn ball joints, worn idler arm bushings, loose wheel bearings(on the bearings I never have seen this as a problem personally) and last worn or out of adjustment steering gear(that is the gear box for the powering steering. I would definetly check the tie rods for wear, and the upper and lower ball joints for busted rubber boots.Unless the gear box is leaking or the bushing in the top show alot of wear start with the simple items. All this is straight out of the chiltons manual, aside from my comments. And note steering free play is measured left to right!! with the wheel centered turn left until the resistance stops the wheel, same for right. If it exceeds it,check the stuff above for wear.
I don't have a 1984 Nissan Datsun 2.4 liter truck. Did you mean to ask what might be causing YOUR truck to knock?
Are you parked and just getting in ? Or do you mean already running. I can however tell you that it is NOT a timing belt. M
Do you mean that you cannot turn the steering wheel left or right? When you say that "steering locks up" it sounds as though you're talking about the steering wheel. Other than that, I would suspect the transfer case. On a truck this old, the transfer case could be rusted up.
It turned off the road onto another road because you turned the steering wheel. But if you mean the engine stopped, you probably have a bare wire in the steering column casing a short which turns off the ignition
I you mean haw to make it to sound: On the side of the steering wheel, at about 3:00 and 9:00. If you are asking about the horn, its located behind the right corner of the fron bumper. You have to remove the black cover that it under the car. Mazda put hard encourage in hiding it .

In Japanese, Mazda means... Mazda.Oddly enough, in Spanish, Mazda means... that's right, Mazda. In Japanese, Mazda means... Mazda.Oddly enough, in Spanish, Mazda means... that's right, Mazda.
Steering wheels aren't pressurized. If you mean the steer tires, it varies by manufacturer and model.. for a run-of-the mill steer tire for a five axle unit, such as a 275/80R22.5 or 11R225., it'll usually either be 105 or 110 PSI.

Not sure what you mean by the steering wheel turning "more than it is supposed to". If it feels sloppy, it could be caused by several steering components. On a '94, I'd certainly check ball joints, tie rod ends and strut bearings for looseness.
It means truck.
Mazda 3 exists. Mazda 4 doesn't. Did you mean Mazda 5? The difference between the Mazda 3 and the Mazda 4 is that the Mazda 3 is a compact car manufactered by Mazda. It was introduced in 2004. The biggest difference between the two, is that the Mazda 4, doesn't exist.
