if its not turning on then check the head gasket you might be leaking water in to the block this is very bad. i had the same problem, and i changed the gasket out but then the head cracked so.... what you need to do is replace the gasket and make sure you get the head machined OR get a swap i found a nice d16y7 for 500 so maybe check it out
You have a leaking transmission cooler, usually part of the radiator. The transmission fluid is mixing with the antifreeze turning it pink.
replace the radiator cap. I fought this for 2 days . after changing theromostats twice and bleeding air from the system, I finally changed the radiator cap and solved the problem.
What would make my transmission slip on a Dodge truck when turning left
Turn the AC on and the electric fan on the radiator should run.
You could be low on transmission fluid. The same thing happened to me.
If the problem with the transmission is overdrive related it may.
if you're facing the front of vehicle, it is on the lower Left hand side of the radiator. If you're underneath the car facing the radiator, it will be on the lower right hand side of the radiator. It has a plastic turning screw.
When standing facing the Suburban, the radiator drain plug is on the lower right-hand side of the radiator. Drain the radiator coolant into a bucket by turning the drain plug three-quarters of a turn to loosen.
The petcock is located on the passenger engine side of the radiator. It doesn't extend outward from the radiator; it's actually inset to it. Turning it counter clockwise opens it.
Lefty loosey, righty tighty.
If you mean stalling in Drive when stopped at Traffic lights. I had the same problem with my 2000 Lincoln Navigator. It was a clogged transmission filter. I changed the transmission filter & oil. The problem disappeared immediately. 24,000 miles later all is still good.
