Bad relay, most likely.
Have you checked the fuses?
there should be fuses that operate the windows
it should be in your owners manual
Check for a blown fuse. have checked fuses with meter under driver side dash and under hood on 2004 explorer
The wiring diagram for a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT can be found in the service manual provided by the manufacturer. If the power windows, moon roof fuses, and power relays are good but the windows and moonroof do not work, then it is likely a wiring problem
Have you checked the WINDOW LOCK button on the drivers door armrest ( just a thought ) Also , I was looking at the 1997 Ford Explorer Owner Guide and it shows that there is a 30 amp maxi fuse ( # 10 ) in the Power Distribution Box ( the P D Box is " live " ) located in the engine compartment which is for the Power Windows / Power Locks / Power Seats
Did you check the switch on the brake pedal assembly?
Have you checked the relays?
The motors that make these operate may be worn out and need replacing.
i checked the front fuse box and two rear fuse boxes and none seem to have fuses for the windows. Any one have any suggestion's, thanks
Have you checked the fuses? There could be a couple of fuse boxes in different locations. Look on the lid for the specific location & amperage.
Take it to a dealer Its under warrantee
